Ancascocha Treks

The walk to Ancascocha is a unique experience, because you will pass through impressive landscapes where few people have explored. This circuit offers you a totally different concept of hiking in the Andes, because perhaps during your walk you will be the only group that is passing through these villages in the Andes of Cusco.
The tour begins in the capital of the Incas, Cusco, then it will go to the Soqma valley where the walk will begin to the first archaeological site of the Incas that has the name of Perolniyoq, which is built on the promontory of a rock, With a waterfall at its base, this site was used as a place of worship for the gods of the Incas. Afterwards you will undertake a walk to the mountains, from where you can see the snow-capped peaks such as the majestic Veronica, and the sacred valley of the Incas, continuing with the walk you will pass through the Ancascocha lagoon, and from there you will climb the Wayanay pass, that will give us access to the Qhesqa valley, and after three days of walking we arrive at the archaeological site of Paucarcancha, where we join the classic Inca trail that goes to the citadel of Machu Picchu, depending on your program, you can continue your route to the km 82 passing through the archaeological sites of Patallaqta, K’anabamba and Salonpunku.
As you can see, this route is combined with landscapes and archaeological sites that make it very attractive for adventurers looking for off-the-beaten paths.
